The CCG Governing Body and Patient Congresses commissions Citizens' Juries to be independently led by the two Lay Members for Patient and Public Engagement.
The Jurors are selected from an open recruitment process and are a mix of service users, carers, patients and people who have a genuine interest in the subject matter.
The Jurors determine the question they wish to ask and explore and call for evidence from patients, health care providers and consider supporting data.
Following a deliberation process, they formulate recommendations which are used to inform the commissioning of future services.
