Citizens' Jury- Mental Health
The CCGs held a Community Conversation event focussing on the Citizens' Jury about Mental Health on Thursday 19 April 2018 at the Bridge Centre.

- What difference do you think the recommendations will make?
- What barriers to implementation do you foresee?
- What can you and/or your organisation do to help to achieve the recommendations?
Background
Over the past year, since early 2017, the CCGs have been putting mental health services under the microscope, with the help of a Citizens’ Jury. Ten people were recruited to act as members of the jury to focus on access to mental health services across Northern Staffordshire. Jury members included people with experience of mental health services, either as patients or carers, and also people with an interest in health care.
The jury carried out focus groups, interviews and a survey to gain feedback and views on people’s experiences of mental health services.
All of this information was then collated by the jury into a report which contained its findings and the jury’s recommendations.
This report was presented to the CCGs’ Patient Congresses and then to the CCGs’ Governing Body in April 2018.
