Designing Your Future Local Health Services
We are gathering the views of local people on how we could deliver the best services to all patients to meet their changing health needs. This involves working with you to develop the options that we will then be consulting you about next year. The aim is to design high quality, accessible and affordable local health services that meets your needs in and around Leek Moorlands Hospital, Haywood Hospital, Longton Cottage Hospital, Bradwell Hospital and Cheadle Hospital.
As part of this work, we held a pre-consultation listening event in Cheadle on the evening of Wednesday 29 November 2017. Over 80 people were at that event and had the opportunity to work in groups to set down their views of current and future local services.
Please follow the links to download the presentation - pdf Listening event Cheadle (508 KB) , and the pdf Cheadle Hospital list/explanation of services (208 KB) (these are the non bed-based services currently available).
We have photographed all of the comments recorded on the flip charts at the event, and these are available for you to see – pdf Cheadle flipcharts (985 KB) . These comments will be compiled into a long list of options and the CCGs will work with representatives of local residents to consider the ‘long list’ and produce a ‘short list’ which will be part of the CCGs’ Pre-Consultation Business Case. That will then be submitted to NHS England for their consideration before the formal consultation process can take place.
